The juxtaposition of my shop in the world right now is humorous. For a living, I work in a “dying art” in a big city leading the world in technology.
I am a young guy doing shoe repair, usually done by old men. I rent space in one of the most expensive cities from a non profit. I fix things when it’s getting easier to buy something new.
I opened a small business in one of the most turbulent times In recent American history, and I can see exactly half the space needle from my front door.
